Description
POLIMIN Р-20 THERMO FACADE ARM adhesive compound for fixing and protection of thermal insulation boards within insulation systems of buildings and structures and fixing decorative elements.
Improved product formulation ensures the following advantages:
• Forming decorative (textured) coating for painting thanks to white colour of the coating.
• Long open time of the adhesive mixture and resistance to displacement for fixing and adjustment of insulation position within a prolonged period (up to 20 minutes).
• High plasticity eases application on thermal insulation with a notched trowel.
• Optimal formula allows for secure fixing of insulation plates both from expanded polystyrene and mineral wool.
• Microfiber reinforcement improves elastic properties to increase service durability of the system
Usage:
POLIMIN Р-20 THERMO FACADE ARM is is used for fixing thermal insulation plates made of mineral wool and EPS type styrofoam, as well as for protecting the thermal insulation (the reinforcing layer) in insulation systems of buildings and structures. Types of bases: concretes of all categories, aerated concrete, cement and cement-lime plasters, unplastered walls of hollow and full bricks, sandstone, ceramic blocks.
Preparation of the mixture:
Installation of the insulation system begins with fastening of lightweight starter track profiles of stainless steel around the entire perimeter of building. The starter profile should be precisely aligned and levelled. It is mounted 30-40 cm below the level of the sub-basement floor slab. The profile width should match the thickness of the insulation material used.
Preparation of the adhesive:
Empty the dry mix from a bag into a container with an accurately metered amount of clean water (please refer to water ratio in Table 1 above) and mix with a low speed mixer to obtain uniform consistency. Allow to stand for 5 minutes and then remix. The ready adhesive should be used within approximately 3 hours.
